Lioness finds her 4 lost cubs


 

Not 1 or 2 or 3 but 4 tiny little cubs that are about 1 month old . This is an experience that I think all people dream about and after the leopard sighting which I posted yesterday this lioness was walking in the road right towards me and the leopard and after saying hello to her she passed right Infront of my car and went off into the bush and for about 5 minutes there she was walking around deep in the bush searching and calling.

The leopards had disappeared in the long grass moments before so I decided to go back as my mom stayed to watch the lion. I got back to the leopard spot which was 100m away, I found them again in the grass moving toward the road and as I stopped I heard on the radio "she has found them come back, come back" shocked but not surprised and torn between the two different sightings equally as incredible I responded " on my way", after a few moments of thought of course as leopards are my favorite animal. But lions cubs come on ....

I arrived at this scene the cubs and the mother standing in the road by this puddle of water and soon enough they began moving along the road the cubs are so tiny they are not yet sure how to walk so everything is a hop or jump or run and it is one of the cutest things ever to see their joy and liveliness.

They played and communicated with their brothers and sisters and every now and then mom would push them wither paw or she would grunt at them and nudge them with her mouth. They walked on the road for 10 minutes and 700m and it was amazing as I followed behind them very carefully and respectfully because in this situation you do not want to cause any chaos and therefore unnecessary stress.

Please always give the animals there space especially if it is a mom with babies I am sure you would want a human to show you the same consideration if you too had a child or where in your home with your children.
