Plucked to safety by Mummy: Lioness pulls her cubs out of a stream they had jumped into to escape a buffalo stampede


 

In the middle of the African wilderness, chaos erupted when a sudden buffalo stampede thundered across the plains. Dust rose into the air as the massive animals charged forward, their hooves shaking the ground. Nearby, a group of young lion cubs panicked. Startled by the noise and movement, the cubs instinctively ran, leaping into a shallow stream in a desperate attempt to escape the danger.



The water, however, was colder and deeper than they expected. The cubs struggled against the current, their small bodies unsteady as they tried to find solid ground. Their frightened cries echoed above the rushing water, calling urgently for help.



Their mother, a strong and alert lioness, reacted instantly. Without hesitation, she charged toward the stream, placing herself between her cubs and the chaos behind them.
