lion cub afraid to across tiny water flowing and sibling teaching it

A young lion cub stands at the edge of a small, gently flowing stream, its tiny paws planted firmly on dry ground. The water is shallow and clear, sunlight glinting off its surface, yet the cub hesitates. Its ears twitch, and its body leans forward slightly before pulling back again. Instinct tells it to be cautious—water, even calm and quiet, is unfamiliar territory.

Nearby, its sibling approaches with a different attitude. Curious and a bit bolder, the second cub steps forward without much hesitation. One paw dips into the stream, then another, sending small ripples across the surface. The cub pauses, as if testing the sensation, then begins to walk slowly back and forth through the water. It splashes lightly, creating playful droplets that catch the light.

After a few moments, the braver cub turns its head and looks back toward its hesitant sibling. There’s a sense of encouragement in the gesture, as if silently saying, “See? It’s safe.” It continues to move in and out of the stream, more confidently now, showing there is nothing to fear.

The nervous cub watches closely. Its body relaxes just a little, curiosity beginning to outweigh fear. It takes a cautious step forward, then stops again. The sound of gentle splashing and the calm behavior of its sibling seem to ease its worries. Slowly, it stretches out one paw and touches the water, quickly pulling it back at first.

But nothing happens—no danger, no threat. Encouraged, the cub tries again. This time it keeps its paw in the stream a bit longer. Step by step, it gathers courage until finally, it moves forward, joining its sibling in the shallow water. What began as fear turns into a small but important moment of confidence and discovery.
