lioness mother rescue her cub falling into water

A lion cub falls into water, it can be a very dangerous moment—because young cubs aren’t strong swimmers and can panic quickly. But the mother lioness reacts fast and with incredible instinct. The lioness hears or sees the cub struggling and rushes toward the water without hesitation. She may step into shallow water or reach from the edge, depending on depth and current.

Using her mouth, she carefully grabs the cub by the scruff (the loose skin on the neck), the same way she carries it safely on land.
